KNWD (91.7 FM) is a radio station broadcasting an College format. Licensed to Natchitoches, Louisiana, USA. The station is currently owned by Northwestern State University of Louisiana.[1]

CaddoFest & DemonFest

KNWD holds two large music festivals, one in the spring and another in the fall. CaddoFest is a pep-rally and Music Festival in spirit of the Stephen F Austin rivalry game "fight for Chief Caddo" The festival is growing tradition and will expand over time. CaddoFest Tradition was created by the 2013-2014 KNWD staff led by general manager Daniel Thiels

DemonFest is a music festival held in the spring by KNWD It usually holds up to two or more up coming bands as headliners and many well known local bands. This event is expected to expand to a two-day event and hold over 16 bands. DemonFest was brought back as a tradition by 2012-2013 KNWD staff led by general manager Tara Luck

DemonFest 2014 DemonFest 2014 consisted of two days of live music on Iberville Green at NSU. The first evening of music consisted largely of student music groups such as Apryl Jenkins, The Bonehead Genius group, and Niqua among others. The second day featured bands from around the country between two stages. The lineup for DemonFest 2014 consisted of: of Montreal, Peanut butter Lovesicle, England in 1819, The Sea Wolf Mutiny, Shayliff, Engine, Dubonauts, Hwy Lions, Alexandra Mccullough, Yorkshire Fields, Members of the Board, The Bristol Hills, Deshawn Washington, Niqua, Tajh Derosier & The Hybrid Grove, Jerrod Phillips, Symone Giles, Bone head Geniuses, Denver Clark, and Blaire Music.

Sound and lights was professionally run by Music City Productions out of Natchitoches, Louisiana.

DemonFest 2015 DemonFest 2015 will be held on March 7, 2015 at the Iberville Field on the NSU campus. Unlike the previous year, the 2015 festival will only consist of one day of live music.
