Kaptaan's first teaser track "Allah Hoo" was released on 14 July 2011. It got thousand hits on the first day of release, and raised a large number of fans. "Allah Hoo" is a cover song of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's qawwali Allah Hoo. It was featured in the movie because Imran Khan used to like this song in his young days, when he was passionate about his cricket and thinking about Pakistan's positive future. Music is composed and produced by Farhan Zameer, which is mostly instrumental, and based on Western Classical Music touch. One of Kaptaan's soundtrack was featured in promo of the movie. "I have always been a fan of symphonic orchestra such as London Philharmonic, so finding the right person, given the limited budget, has been a difficult task," states Faisal Aman Khan, while heaping praise on Farhan Zameer, who composed and directed the film’s music. "We were initially hoping to get Kaavish and Ali Azmat on board for the direction and composition of the film’s music, but it was becoming too expensive. However, when I first heard Zameer sing I was stunned at the amount of talent he possessed." Lyrics for songs are being written by Sidra Khalid. There are some other artists featured in music for Kaptaan. Abbas Ali Khan was officially announced to be singing for one of the tracks. Music was digitally released on CDBaby through the official page on 30 October 2013.[6]
