Kirk Barton (born November 4, 1984) is a former NFL player, and graduate assistant for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. He became a graduate assistant after two years as an offensive quality control assistant. New Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has decided to retain him.
He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft of the National Football League. He played college football at Ohio State.
Barton has also been a member of the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos. On August 24, 2010, he was waived by the Broncos and claimed by the Carolina Panthers. However, he decided on retirement rather than to report to camp.
