Kyle Medvec (born June 16, 1988) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman. He is currently playing with Slovenian club, HDD Olimpija Ljubljana who participate in the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL). Medvec was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the 4th round (102nd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Prior to turning professional, Medvec played four seasons (2007-2011) of NCAA college hockey with the Vermont Catamounts men's ice hockey team.

On July 1, 2011, the Minnesota Wild signed Medvec to an entry-level contract.[1] He played the 2011–12 season in the American Hockey League with the Houston Aeros, before finishing his entry-level contract with new affiliate, the Iowa Wild.

On August 26, 2014, Medvec signed his first contract abroad as a free agent, in agreeing to a one-year deal with Slovenian club, HDD Olimpija Ljubljana of the EBEL.[2]
