Lacarne is an unincorporated community in southwestern Erie Township, Ottawa County, Ohio, United States. Although it is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 43439. [1]
During World War II, Lacarne (or La Carne) was the location of a P.O.W. camp at Camp Perry, a U.S. Army facility.[citation needed] Camp Perry still exists, where there is a Lake Erie beach open to the public, as well as public rifle and pistol marksmanship competitions.
