The Lari massacre was an incident during the Mau Mau Uprising where the Mau Mau massacred troops from the loyalist Home Guard and their families, including prominent local royalist Luki.[1][2][3][4]

British colonial government used the attack as propaganda event and showed the massacre to journalists.[5] The massacre prompted retaliatory attacks.[6] In revenge, British and African soldiers killed at least 400 Mau Mau.[7]
