The Law on the language of the people of the Republic of Bashkortostan is a law aimed at protecting and preserving the languages of the peoples of Bashkortostan.

Structure of Law

Substantive provisions of the law include the following sections.

Section I. General Provisions

In the Republic of Bashkortostan recognized equality of languages. Equality of languages - the totality of the rights of peoples and the person on the conservation and comprehensive development of the native language, freedom of choice and use the language of communication.

Section V. Language names of geographical objects and drawing inscriptions, road and other signs

Writing the names of geographical objects and drawing inscriptions, road and other signs along with the state language of the Republic of Bashkortostan can be done in the languages of the Bashkortostan in the territories where they are concentrated.

Section VII. Responsible for violations of Bashkortostan on the languages of the Bashkortostan

Violation of the regulations of the Bashkortostan on the use of languages of the Bashkortostan when placing road signs, names (names) of settlements, streets - shall entail the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of three thousand to five thousand rubles; for legal entities - from eight thousand to ten thousand (Article 2.3 of the Code of the Bashkortostan on administrative offenses).

Violation of the regulations of the Bashkortostan on the use of the languages of the Bashkortostan, signage at registration organizations in the Republic of Bashkortostan - shall entail the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of four thousand to five thousand rubles; for legal entities - from ten thousand to fifteen thousand rubles.
