Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Leaving Las Vegas is a semi-autobiographical 1990 novel by John O'Brien. The novel was adapted into a 1995 film, also called Leaving Las Vegas, starring Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue. The film was nominated for four Academy Awards.

The novelist died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound two weeks after learning his novel was to be made into a film.
