Leigh-Anne Pinnock (born 4 October 1991) is a British singer-songwriter and fashion blogger. She is a member of British four-piece girl group Little Mix. Group was formed exclusively for the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011 and became the first, and so far, only group to win the competition.

Early Life
Leigh-Anne Pinnock was born and raised in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.[1] Pinnock has two sisters, Sarah and Sian-Louise.[2] Pinnock is of Barbadian and Jamaican ancestry.
Career
Little Mix: 2011-present
In 2011 Pinnock went to auditions for eighth series of The X Factor in London. Pinnock passed the auditions as she performed Rihanna's Only Girl (in the World), but failed to make it past bootcamp's first challenge.[3] However, the judges decided to give Pinnock another chance in the Groups category. Pinnock was put in three-member group Orion, alongside Jade Thirlwall.[4] Both groups failed to make it through to the judges' houses. A later decision recalled Pinnock, Thirwall, Edwards and Nelson (both were put in four-member group Faux Pas) to form the four-piece group Rhythmix, sending them through to the judges' houses.[5] They eventually reached the live shows and were mentored by Tulisa Contostavlos.[6] On 28 October 2011, it was announced that the group's new name would be "Little Mix".[7] On 11 December, Little Mix were announced as the winners, the first-ever group to win.[8]
Group's debut single "Wings" debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart.[9] Their debut album, DNA, was released in November 2012. The album reached #3 in both Ireland and the UK. Group's second single, "DNA", was released in October.[10] On 3 February 2013, "Change Your Life" was released as the album's third single. Fourth and last single of the first album, "How Ya Doin'?", features Grammy Award-winning musician Missy Elliott.[11]
On 23 September 2013, the first single "Move" of group's second studio album premiered on BBC Radio 1. On 4 October, Little Mix announced that their second album would be called Salute.[12] The album was released on 11 November 2013 in the United Kingdom and on 4 February 2014 in the United States.[13] "Little Me" was selected as the second single from the album. On 5 April 2014 it was announced that the title track "Salute" will be released as the album's third single. [14]
Group released a cover version of the Cameo's song "Word Up!" as the official single for Sport Relief 2014.[15][16]
In May 2015 Little Mix released "Black Magic", the debut single from their upcoming third album.[17] On 15 July 2015, it was announced that their third studio album would be titled Get Weird with a global release date set for 6 November 2015.[18] On 25 September the band released "Love Me Like You" as the second single from the album. On 5 December the group announced on Twitter the release of the third single, "Secret Love Song", featuring the American R&B singer Jason Derulo. On 11 April 2016, the group announced that "Hair" would serve as the fourth single from Get Weird, and would feature newly-recorded guest vocals from reggae pop recording artist Sean Paul. The single was released on 15 April 2016.[19]

In February 2015, Pinnock launched a Tumblr fashion blog.[20]
