Les Augustins is a small group of rocks in the archipelago of Îles des Saintes including the commune (municipality) of Terre-de-Bas. They are close of la Coche which they are separated by a passage called Passe des Souffleurs. It is a dangerous passage for sea navigation. Between les Augustins and Terre-de-Bas Island is located the Southwest Passage which is the shipping lane the most taken by the merchant navy to leave or enter into the bay of les Saintes from the south of the West Indies archipelago.

The Rocher de la Vierge (literally: rock of the Virgin), which the shape reminds curiously the Immaculate Conception, serves of seamark for the ships incoming to or outgoing from the main harbour of les Saintes by the South. This rock is particularly appreciated by the divers. [1]
