Epic Rap Battles of History is a YouTube series created by Peter "Nice Peter" Shukoff and Lloyd "EpicLLOYD" Ahlquist. The first episode of the series "John Lennon vs. Bill O'Reilly" was released on September 26, 2010. All Season 1 episodes were uploaded to Shukoff's personal YouTube channel, Nice Peter. Following the show's popularity and success, Ahlquist and Shukoff partnered with Maker Studios, and created two channels devoted to the series. ERB hosts the finished episodes, and ERB2 features behind-the-scenes footage.

As of May 2016, it is the 20th most subscribed channel on YouTube with over 13.2 million subscribers and over 3 billion total views.[1] As of May 30, 2016, a total of 61 episodes have been released.

So his partner of the Mega Powers, fellow wrestler and former partner "Macho Man" Randy Savage (EpicLLOYD) tags in and finishes the battle.[5]

The creators of Epic Rap Battles of History, Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD, battle against each other as fictionalized versions of themselves. The battle ends with KassemG intervening to resolve the conflict and suggest to Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD to make a second season and also to create an own YouTube channel for the series. The video ends with an announcement of season 2.

Adolf Hitler (EpicLLOYD) escapes from the Rancor pit and challenges Darth Vader (Nice Peter) for a final rematch. At one point during the battle, Star Wars character Boba Fett (voiced by Ray William Johnson and played by Atul Singh and Brian Neunhoffer) joins in for Darth Vader, but is shot by Hitler. The battle ends with Hitler getting sliced in half by Darth Vader's lightsaber.[19][20]

American business magnate Donald Trump (Nice Peter) battles against Ebenezer Scrooge (Zach Sherwin), the main character of Charles Dickens' novel A Christmas Carol. The three Ghost of Christmas from the past (in the form of banker J. P. Morgan portrayed by EpicLLOYD), the present (in the form of rapper Kanye West portrayed by DeStorm Power), and the future (Nice Peter) each later appear and face off with Scrooge.

Note: This episode was originally scheduled to release on December 16.[25] Coincidentally, the new release date was the 170th anniversary of the first publication of A Christmas Carol.

In the final verse, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (voiced by EpicLLOYD, portrayed by Taylor Cu) from Ghostbusters also joins the battle to face both teams as a third party.[33]
