This is a list of validated South American supercentenarians (people from South America who have attained the age of at least 110 years). Currently, the Gerontology Research Group (GRG), an organization that tracks supercentenrians and verifies their age claims, has verified 9 supercentenarians from South America.[1] The oldest South American ever was Ecuadorian woman María Capovilla, who died at the age of 116 years 347 days.[2]
