1 death - Two oil-drilling rigs were impacted. A mobile home that was anchored to the ground near one of the rigs was ripped from the ground and thrown approximately 100 yards (91 m), with the occupant of the mobile home being thrown 50 yards (46 m). A semi trailer used for storage and a structure used to lift the oil-well casing onto the oil derrick were blown over. A railroad boxcar was rolled about 150 yards (140 m) and several power poles were downed in the area of the first oil rig. Near the second oil rig, another single-wide mobile home that was anchored to the ground was rolled over. Nearby, two goose neck fifth-wheel camper trailers were impacted. One of the trailers was occupied and was blown 45 yards (41 m), fatally injuring the occupant. The second trailer was blown 45 yards (41 m) before coming to rest on an oilfield production unit. A house suffered minor damage, mostly from falling trees, and another house sustained severe roof damage, with the majority of the roof being removed and the chimney toppling onto the house. A steel feed bunk containing 26,000 pounds (12,000 kg) of feed was turned over on its side, a Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway train was derailed with over fifty cars blown over, and many trees were downed.
