The following is a list of massacres that have occurred in Palestine prior to the establishment of the British Mandate for Palestine. Palestine is a name, among others, for the geographic region between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River, and various adjoining lands.[1] The region is also known as the Land of Israel and the Holy Land.[2][3]
