The Romanian Top 100 is the national airplay-based singles chart of Romania. It is weekly and it started running in 1996. It is recognized as an official chart by the European division of Billboard, Music & Media. From 2000 to November 2001 there are no archives left on Romanian Top 100's official website. The first registered number-one of this decade in Romania was "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias and the last one was "I Gotta Feeling" by The Black Eyed Peas. In the 2000s (decade), there were 96 songs to peak at number-one. The greatest hit of this decade would be 2007's "Say It Right" by Nelly Furtado.

2001

Australian popstar Kylie Minogue had the biggest single of the year with "Can't Get You Out of My Head" which spent 5 weeks at number one

Busta Rhymes' collaboration with Mariah Carey gave Carey her only top 10 in the Romanian Chart.

This is a list of the Romanian Singles Chart (Top 100) number-ones of 2003. There were a total of 16 songs that reached the top position in 2003, although 17 claimed the top spot as "Objection (Tango)" by Shakira started its run in 2002 and thus is excluded. Five of the top charting song were in Romanian or by Romanian artists.

The most successful song of the year was Class's "Luna mi-a zâmbit", no.1 for seven consecutive weeks. This is also the year with the most chart topping hits, with 17 songs reaching the top of it. Moldavian band O-Zone had two number ones.

Canadian singer Nelly Furtado made chart history in 2007, spending 12 weeks at the top of the Romanian Top 100 chart with "Say It Right"; she also managed to be the only artist to occupy the first two positions of the chart, with the song "All Good Things (Come to an End)" being stuck after her own "Say it Right".

This is a list of the songs that reached No. 1 in the Romanian Singles Chart in 2007. The chart had 14 number-one hits in the year 2007. "Say It Right" by Nelly Furtado was the number-one song for 2007, spending twelve weeks on the top. "Say It Right" was also the song with longest week at number one since the chart's first archive in 2002. The song beat the record of "Shut Up" by The Black Eyed Peas which spent the number-one spot for ten weeks in 2003.

"The Balkan Girls" by Elena Gheorghe became the first song that participated at a Eurovision edition to top the chart; that song was the Romanian entry to the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. Alex Velea had the first no. 1 in Romanian since Celia's "Şoapte" in April 2008, almost a year before. Oceana's "Cry, Cry" was the longest running number-one.
