History

Route 487 commenced operating on 4 September 1999 between Willesden Junction and South Harrow via Park Royal, Alperton and Sudbury Hill replacing part of route 187. It was operated by London Traveller.

Upon being re-tendered, route 487 passed to First London's Alperton garage on 6 March 2004.[2] It was reallocated to Willesden Junction on 28 June 2008. First London successfully tendered to retain the route, with a new contract commencing on 7 March 2009.[3]

On 22 June 2013, route 487 was included in the sale of First London's Alperton garage to Metroline.[4][5][6]
