The Original "Louisiana" Brand Hot Sauce has been produced in New Iberia, LA for decades. On April 3, 2015, Rome, GA-based Southeastern Mills, Inc. acquired the brand and the New Iberia manufacturing and warehouse facilities from Bruce Foods Corp. The Original "Louisiana" Brand Hot Sauce is a cayenne pepper based hot sauce, and competes with brands such as Tabasco® sauce, Crystal® Hot Sauce, Texas Pete® and Frank's® Red Hot®. It is packaged in glass shaker bottles, and the label features a distinctive red dot. The sauce is produced from aged peppers, vinegar and salt, and is marketed as "Not too hot, not too mild".[1]
