Mälardalen University (Swedish: Mälardalens högskola), or MDH, is a university college (högskola) located in Västerås and Eskilstuna, Sweden.[2] It has 13,000 students and around 900 employees, of which 67 are professors.[3] Mälardalen University is the world's first environmentally certified school according to the international standard ISO 14001.
Organization
Since 1 January 2008, Mälardalen University has been officially organized into four schools:
- School of Health, Care and Social Welfare
- School of Education, Culture and Communication
- School of Sustainable Development of Society and Technology
- School of Innovation, Design and Engineering
Prior to 2008, the university college had nine departments:
- Biology and Chemical Engineering (IBK)
- Computer Science and Electronics (IDE)
- Public Technology (ISt)
- School of Business (EkI)
- Humanities (IHu)
- Innovation, Design and Product Development (IDP)
- Mathematics and Physics (IMa)
- Social Sciences (ISB)
- Caring and Public Health Sciences (IVF)
