In 2010 MOBIUS left the University of Missouri and became a Missouri not-for-profit corporation.

As of 2012 it includes 59 academic libraries, 5 public libraries, 1 special library, and the Missouri State Library serving a total of 132 physical branches. The MOBIUS Union Catalog includes over 23 million items.[2]
