Maarat Saidnaya, or Maaret Saidnaya (Arabic: معرة صيدنايا) is a Syrian village in the Al-Tall District of the Rif Dimashq Governorate. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Maarat Saidnaya had a population of 3,084 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantly Melkite Catholics.[2] The Mor Ephrem Monastery, consecrated in 1996, is the siege of a seminary and the residence of the patriarch.
