History
Opened in 1957, Mary Carroll High School is currently the second largest and third oldest school in the Corpus Christi Independent School District. The school is named for the Corpus Christi Independent School District's 1st female Superintendent.[citation needed]

Carroll Tiger Band
The Carroll band is currently the third largest in CCISD (after Ray with 116, and King with 177). As of July 2010, there are 114 students that are enrolled in band. It is under the direction of Mr. Joseph Rosales and Mrs. Lori Koch. It competes in the Region XIV, Area G; AAAAA bracket.
