The Marz-e Por Gohar resistance movement (Persian: جنبش پایداری مرزپرگهر‎‎) (The Glorious Frontiers resistance movement) is an Iranian nationalist political party resistance movement. Their motto is "Iranians for a secular republic".

History

The Marze Por Gohar resistance movement (The Glorious Frontiers resistance movement)was founded on July 8, 1998 in Tehran, Iran. It was established by a group of secular nationalist writers and journalists and led by Roozbeh Farahanipour.

The Marze Por Gohar resistance movement mission is to advocate a secular republic for Iran.

The Marze Por Gohar resistance movement was one of the most active groups present at the pro-Democracy Iran student protests, July 1999. On the fifth day of the uprising, on July 13, MPG leaders and members were arrested and sent to the Towhid Prison, one of the Islamic Republic's secret prisons. Due to constant threats by Islamic elements, some members of this organization were forced to secretly flee the country.

Due to it popularity among nationalist from different school of thought,the Marz-e Por Gohar on 2014 transformed from being a party to a movement open to all nationalist believing in a nationalistic Iranian republic "secular republic" for future Iran.
