Maurice Deroure

Maurice Deroure (11 April 1883 – 7 September 1914) was a French writer.

Biography

Maurice Deroure was born in Paris, the son of Hilaire Deroure, Head of Office at the Bank of France, and Caroline Costel.

He was employed at the Bank of France when he married Baptistine Feraud in 1907 in Charenton-le-Pont. The couple had two children when World War I broke out. His younger brother, Marie Henri, joined the French Army and Maurice did the same with the rank of second lieutenant in the 220th infantry regiment.

Maurice Deroure died while on duty in Souilly, Meuse.
