Mikhail Grigoryevich Girshovich (Russian: Михаи́л Григо́рьевич Гиршо́вич) (1904–1947), was Major General (since 18 November 1944) of the Red Army.
Early years
Born in a Jewish family of officials. Finished 4 classes of Jewish school. Moved to Belorussia.
Red Army
In the Red Army since 1920. In 1926 graduated Moscow artillery school. In 1938 graduated Anti-aircraft artillery course.
During the World War II
- Deputy commander of Army Air Defense.
- Head of Moscow Anti-aircraft warfare (1942–1943).
- Head of Red Army Anti-aircraft warfare (1944–1945).
- Head of Amur PVO Army, Deputy Far East PVO Commander (1946). In this role Mikhail died in 1947.
