Ministry for Sports of Russia (In Russian: Министерство спорта Российской Федерации; Минспорт России) is a Federal Ministry in Medvedev Government who was re-established in May 21, 2012 according to Presidential decree, after it was formed firstly in May 2008 as "Ministry for Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy.
The ministry is responsible for the development of Sports in Russia, at all sphere.

State Committee for Sports and Body Culture of USSR
The State Committee for Sports and Body Culture of USSR (Спорткомитет СССР, Комитет по физической культуре и спорту при Совете Министров СССР) was established in 1954 as the only governmental body that responsible for the management of Sports in Soviet Union. The Committee merged into one organisation all the Sports Unions and the National Teams.

The State Committee for Sports and Body Culture of Russia (Госкомитет по ФКиТ; Госкомспорт России, Государственный комитет Российской Федерации по физической культуре и спорту) was the Central governing body in Russian Sports, while the Head of the Committee describes as the Sports Minister. The Committee was a federal executive organ that was responsible for the coordinating and development of Sports in Russia. Formed in 1991.
Federal Agency for Sports
The Federal Agency for Sports and Body Culture (Федеральное агентство по физической культуре и спорту) was formed in 2002 as the successor of the previous Sports Committee, and was dissolved in October 7, 2008 to re-established as The Sports Ministry.
