The Minnesota Progressive Party is the name of a minor political party in Minnesota. It was first formed as a branch of the national Progressive Party during the 1948 election, supporting Henry A. Wallace for president and also running a candidate for Governor of Minnesota.[1] The name was later reused by Eugene McCarthy as one of several minor state political parties supporting his independent campaign for president in 1988.[2]
