The 2018 Minnesota State Auditor election will be held in the U.S. state of Minnesota on November 6, 2018, to elect the Minnesota State Auditor. If necessary, a primary election will be held on August 14, 2018 to nominate Republican and Democratic–Farmer–Labor (DFL) candidates.

Background
DFL incumbent Rebecca Otto was first elected in 2006, defeating one-term Republican incumbent Pat Anderson. Otto was subsequently re-elected in 2010 and 2014. On January 9, 2017, Otto announced that she would seek election to be governor and that she would not seek re-election to be state auditor.[1]
