Mirepoix is a commune in the Gers department in southwestern France.

History
The Castle Reveillon was the origine of all these village built in the fifteenth century. Pardailhan property, bought by Mirabeau, the castle was then sold to the family of Batz, which d'Artagnan, Captain of the Musketeers of the Guard, born with the father name de Batz, he decide to choise and use the name of his mother, daughter of an illustrious family, Françoise de Montesquiou d'Artagnan, that inspired the character of Alexandre Dumas, was one of the descendants. This family has owned since 1761.
