Mohamed Mushin, a Sri Lankan national, was a Vice President[citation needed] of the World Bank and its Chief Information Officer until his retirement in November 2005.[1] He was educated at Trinity College, Kandy, where he was awarded the Ryde Gold Medal in 1962.

In 1977, he moved to Zambia, where he served as finance director for the state-owned mining and industrial corporation and eventually became an adviser to the president Kenneth Kaunda. In 1988, he joined the World Bank as a country officer for the Eastern Africa region.

He now sits on several corporate boards in Sri Lanka and Internationally.
