The Ha 219 was a late war IJAAF 18-cylinder air-cooled radial engine, 1,835 kW (2,461 hp) used on the Tachikawa Ki-94-2 and Ki-84-N and Ki-87. A total of around 10 engines where built. The engine sufferd from over heating at low speeds and required large amounts of maintenance. Around 7 where issued to the Kitai squadron in late 1945 and used on the New Ki-84-N. They lacked the supercharger installed on the Tachikawa KI-94-2 and Ki-87. most are believed to have been scraped and destroyed after the war and most documents also.
