After his daughter Mom Rajawongse Sirikit Kitiyakara entered a royal marriage with King Bhumibol Adulyadej, he was promoted to General Prince of Chanthaburi Suranath, HH Prince Nakkhatra Mangala Kitiyakara in the past, หม่อมเจ้านักขัตรมงคล กิติยากร) by royal command in 1952.
