Norwich Business School
Norwich Business School (NBS) is one of seven schools within the University of East Anglia’s Faculty of Social Sciences. The school has a campus location, running both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Norwich at the UEA campus.[1] The Norwich Business School has recognised expertise in the fields of: marketing and branding; strategy and process alignment; finance, accounting, audit and regulation; strategic operations and supply-chain management; sustainable and responsible business; and the management of people in organisations.[2] The University of East Anglia itself is rated 20th in the UK.[3] and ranked as one of the top universities in the UK for student experience .[4]

History
The name Norwich Business School and acronym NBS was first adopted in 2005. Previously, NBS had been known as The School of Management, which was formed in 1996 by the alliance of the School of Management and the School of Accounting and Finance. Despite adopting Norwich Business School as the new name of the school, NBS continues to teach degree courses in these subject areas.
The University of East Anglia itself opened in October 1963, not on its present campus, but in the "University Village" on the other side of Earlham Road, a collection of prefabricated structures designed for 1200 students, laid out by the local architectural firm Feilden and Mawson. There were no residences. The Vice-Chancellor and administration were based in nearby Earlham Hall.

Research
The Norwich Business School (NBS) is home to a vibrant and engaged research community. This was illustrated in the latest HEFCE assessment of research excellence which put Norwich Business School 17th overall in the UK out of 101 business schools and in 9th place for the quality of its research publications (Times Higher Education).
The results also show that our research has been designated as world leading or internationally excellent in terms of the impact it has on business, society, the economy, culture, public policy and services in The Research Excellence Framework (REF2014).
Our academic researchers and postgraduate research students' work is structured around the Faculty-wide Research Centre in Competition Policy (CCP) and five broad Subject Area Groups:

Projects
Graduate Trainee Management Scheme
The Graduate Trainee Management Scheme is a recruitment service offered by Norwich Business School. The service provides graduates with a training programme and supports employers with the recruitment and selection process.[3]
Norfolk Knowledge
Norwich Business School is responsible for Norfolk Knowledge, a project that aims to develop a network of volunteer mentors, to provide local businesses and other organisations access to commercial experience of individuals living within the county.[5] The project is supported by the Norfolk County Council and allows those retired or otherwise experienced in running businesses, departments or voluntary organisations to share their knowledge with small businesses, public bodies and voluntary organisations that could benefit from a mentor.[6]
Inside Business
Inside Business is a seminar series run by Norwich Business School for students, staff and the business community. The series features successful business people drawn from the alumni of UEA. Offering insight into the transition from student life to business life and providing an opportunity for networking with business practitioners, students and staff from across the campus.[4]
