Barangay Onse or The Village of Onse is a barangay (village) in San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, the barangay has a population of 29,337. It has an area of about 125 acres. The village is the second largest in San Juan after Addition Hills. It is located near Quezon City.

Barangay Onse is named after Once (Spanish for eleven). It was established in the early 1900s.

Character

The barangay is divided into five major streets. The longest, Ibuna Street, has a population of 1,022. Half of Onse's 20,000 people live in rental apartments on Ibuna Street. Modern apartments have been built recently to house more residents. With a population density of 22,530/km2, the barangay is one of the most overcrowded places in Metro Manila.

Education

The barangay of Onse has an older elementary school, which was named in 1984 for Marabang.[3] There are several other schools, including St. John's Academy, Nicanor C. Ibuna Elementary school, Aquinas School, Xavier school, Santa Lucia elementary school, and Philippine Chen Kuang High School.[4]
