Paride Rombi

Paride Rombi (6 September 1921 – 18 August 1997) was an Italian writer and magistrate known for his novel Perdu, set in Sulcis-Iglesiente, "in the lands of Count Salazar" in Sardinia, with which he won the Grazia Deledda Prize in 1952.

Biography

Native of Calasetta, Sardinia, linguistic Tabarchino island (variant of the Ligurian language), he carried out the activity of magistrate.

The novel Perdu, published by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore and, currently, by Ilisso, has been Rombi greatest success; in fact it had four editions and numerous translations abroad (United States, Germany, France, Denmark, United Kingdom, Argentina, Portugal, Sweden).
