Parsottambhai Rupala (born 1 October 1954), in kacchikushwaha[1] family. Parsottambhai Rupala was a member of Rajya Sabha[2] representing Gujarat state in India and a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party. He was earlier member of Gujarat Legislative Assembly from Amreli and a minister in Government of Gujarat. He was state president of the party. He was born in 1954.

Early life

Rupala was born to Hariben Khodabhai and Khodabhai Madhabhai.

Education and early career

Rupala attended B.Sc., B.Ed. Educated at Saurashtra University and Gujarat University in 1976–1977.

Rupala is Science Graduate & Bachelor of Education in 1976-1977. Before entering in Politics he joined as School Principal at Hamapur in Medium School mid of August 1977 to November 1983.[3] He was the chief officer of the Amreli municipality from November 1983 to March 1987.

Family and personal life

Parsottambhai Rupala married Savitaben in 1979. They have a Daughter & Son.

Political career

Parshottam Rupala Was the president of the Amreli district Bhartiya Janta Party from 1988 to 1991. This led his assumption of charge of the State Secretary of the Bhartiya Janta Party in 1992.
