Patrick Deeley

Patrick Deeley, Irish poet, born 1953.

Deeley was born in Loughrea, County Galway. His poems have been published in Ireland and abroad over the past thirty years, and six collections of his work have appeared from Dedalus Press. He also writes fiction for younger readers, and his novel The Lost Orchard won The Eilis Dillon Award in 2001. His memoir, 'The Hurley Maker's Son', was published in 2016 by Transworld.

He works as a primary school principal in Dublin.
