Pengkalan Chepa

Pengkalan Chepa is a town and also a parliamentary constituency in Kelantan, Malaysia. Pengkalan Chepa is where the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport is located. It is located about 8 km from the Kota Bharu town.

Education

Pengkalan Chepa is served by a few colleges and boarding schools. They are the Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Kota Bharu, Darulnaim College of Technology (KTD), Maktab Rendah Sains Mara Kota Bharu, and Sekolah Menengah Sains Kelantan (now named Sekolah Menengah Sains Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra, after Kelantan's regent). There is also an army camp and University Malaysia Kelantan located near the airport. There are many schools there such as SMU(A) Tarbiah Mardhiah Panchor, SK Pengkalan Chepa, SK Dato' Hashim 1 & 2, SK Kemumin, SK Parang Putting, SK Sabak, SMK Pengkalan Chepa 1 & 2 and others.

There is a McDonald, Pantai Timor Hypermarket, Pizza Hut, KFC, Marrybrown and other famous local foods stalls.
