Peruvian Sign Language (PRL) is the deaf sign language of Peru. It is used primarily outside the classroom.

Classification

Wittmann (1991)[2] posits that PRL is a language isolate (a 'prototype' sign language), though one developed through stimulus diffusion from an existing sign language, likely French Sign Language.
