Phayul.com (Fatherland in Tibetan) is a pro-Tibetan independence[1][2] website that publishes news and opinion about Tibet and Tibet-in-exile. Created in 2001 by Tibetan exiles in India,[3][4] it is published in the English language from New Delhi.[1] The site also includes book reviews, stories, essays, and a discussion forum.

Its founder is Tenzin Norsang Lateng. In the years 2000–01 he worked for Anil Dogra in Connaught Place, New Delhi, India, under whom he was mentored, encouraged and challenged with complex software programming assignments, to eventually become a top software / web programmer in the Tibetan community, worldwide.[citation needed]
