Pi County, or Pixian (simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: 郫縣; pinyin: Pí Xiàn), is under the administration of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, China. It is located just 10 km north-west of Chengdu's city centre. The seat of the Pixian County Government is located in Pitong Town (). Pi County is rapidly being urbanized by attracting major electronics and IT corporations to Pi County.

Pi County covers an area of 437.5 square kilometres, with a total population of 480,000.[3]

Pi County has over 2300 years of history—it was established by the State of Qin two years after it defeated the State of Shu, in 314 BC. It is famous throughout China for Pixian doubanjiang, a type of spicy fermented bean sauce.

Administration

The county executive, legislature and judiciary are seated in Pitong, together with the CPC and PSB branches. There are 13 other towns in their collective purview:[4]
