Noizi Ito January 12, 2013
Izayoi Sakamaki, Asuka Kudō, and Yō Kasukabe, three children with extraordinary power, each receive a mysterious invitation and are suddenly transported to a world called the Little Garden. There, they are greeted by a rabbit-eared girl known as Black Rabbit, who informs them that the world revolves around 'Gift Games,' which challenges it's players with games of varying danger while betting something in exchange for rewards if they win. Furthermore, Black Rabbit informs them that they should be in a community to join the game. Then, Black Rabbit first tests the children with a card-based Gift Game without betting something, which they manage to win after a tactic by Izayoi, although Asuka and Yō protest that his method wasted the strategies they had made. The group make their way to a rural village in eastern district and meet Jin, current leader of the former “John Doe” community, a community where Black Rabbit is in. After finding out that Izayoi sneaks off to find the edge of the world from Asuka and Yō, Black Rabbit rushed in an incredible speed to find him while boasting herself as a rabbit, an elite race in the Garden which are servants of the Garden’s creator and holds the right to be a Judge Master. At the edge of the world, Black Rabbit found Izayoi, fighting a water god in a Gift Game and manages to beat the water god, rewarding him a big water tree sapling. Izayoi know that Black Rabbit is hiding something from them and asked her the reason for summoning them. Meanwhile, Asuka, Yō, and Jin are waiting for Izayoi and Black Rabbit in a cafe, before they are approached by a dark-skinned, blonde-haired man named Galdo Gaspar, leader of the “Forres Garo” community.

"Wasō Rori wa Iroiro Buttonda Okata no yō desu yo?" (和装ロリはいろいろブっ飛んだお方のようですよ?)
mebae January 19, 2013
Izayoi questions Black Rabbit about her true intentions, and she reveals the truth behind their arrival in Litle Garden. Once a proud community, a Demon Lord issued an undeniable challenge that she and her fellow members were unable to beat. Having lost, the Demon Lord took her community's formal name and banner, leaving them allowed to be referred to only as the "No-Names." The community no longer has any members that "could make up their core," and all members left are Black Rabbit, Jin, and around one-hundred twenty children, ages ten and below, in the community. With their land having been ravaged by the Demon Lord's gift game, the only way to improve their situation is to win gift games and to take back their name and flag, but because all remaining members of the community are young, the "No-Names" were in a desperate situation, summoning Izayoi, Asuka, and Yō to help them regain their name and flag from the Demon Lord. Izayoi asked Black Rabbit the reason to reclaim their group’s name when they could just make a group in a different name. Black Rabbit told him that it is for the day that their former members to have a place to return to. Izayoi like the idea of challenging stronger opponents to reclaim a group’s name for the sake of their group mates so he agreed to help Black Rabbit. Meanwhile, Asuka and Yō hear the same information from Galdo Gaspar, who intends to have them join his community. Asuka becomes suspicious of Galdo Gaspar's claim to win all Gift Games that involve staking their community's banner, and uses her power to command Galdo to reveal how he could win so often. Galdo had managed to bring his community higher status by kidnapping women and children from other communities to subdue them, promising the hostages' safety if the communities did their bidding. However, Galdo had killed all hostages he had ever taken. Learning this, Asuka becomes infuriated and challenges Galdo to a Gift Game the next day. After Izayoi and Black Rabbit reunite with the others, the group visits Shiroyasha, a Demon Lord from the "Thousand Eyes" -- an extremely large trade community -- to appraise the children's gifts. While on their way, the children noticed that the season at the Garden is different from their own world, revealing that the three children are summoned from three different worlds as each of them state the current season of their world. When they arrived at their destination, Shiroyasha welcomed them and explained about the location of each headquarters which depends on the number of digits of the Gate in the Garden. There 7 Gates in the garden, ranging from 1 digit to 7 digits, where the fewer the digit the closer it is to the center. Furthermore, the headquarters of the “No Names” are located in the 7th gate. After the children heard how powerful Shiroyasha is, being the Floor Master on the East Side of the gate and the Demon Lord of White Night, the children challenge Shiroyasha to a Gift Game after being transported to one of her game boards, the snow mountain. Shiroyasha asked the children if they are going to fight her directly or challenge her game. The children decided to challenge her game, where Yō bets her own life to ride a Griffon and survive the entire flight around a mountain. While on the game, Yō remembers the time when she was confined in a hospital because of her illness. Her father often visits her telling her stories. Then, one day she received a wooden pendant from her father which granted her powers, overcoming the illness she had. In the present, Yō manages to endure the difficult flight and earns the Griffon's friendship in the process, learning his powers. When Black Rabbit asks for the children's gifts to be appraised, since Shiroyasha had no talent for it, gives the children Gift Cards instead, which has the capability to store their Gifts and also has the ability to list the name of thze Gifts. With luck, Izayoi obtained a rare Gift Card. Meanwhile, Galdo Gaspar collapses after he is bitten on the side of his neck by a small blond girl, who tells him it was "the gift of the beast."
03 "Sounds Like We're Doing All Sorts of Stuff in the Bath Together?"
"Ofuro de Anna Koto ya Konna Koto da sō desu yo?" (お風呂であんなコトやこんなコトだそうですよ?)
Ruroo January 26, 2013
With the gift from the water god, the water supply of the No Names is restored. Black Rabbit, Asuka, and Yo uses the water to take a bath and had a girls talk. After they took a bath, Asuka and Yo wear clothes from Black Rabbit’s wardrobe which are made by Shiroyasha. Asuka choose to wear Black Rabbit’s elegant scarlet dress which granted the wearer additional defence, although the breast part needs to be adjusted. In the eve of the challenge with Fores Garo, Izayoi stops an attack from Galdo's subordinates and reveals to them that their efforts are futile as all of Galdo's hostages were already killed by him. Before sending them away, Izayoi asks them to spread news about Jin, claiming that he will defeat all of the demon lords and that his community welcomes anyone willing to overthrow the Demon Lords. Jin does not agree with the idea at first, but Izayoi convinces him to think about it since beside the demon lords and other communities will be attacking them, the advantage of their plan will gain them fame and communities who are against the demon lords will ally themselves to them. As Izayoi spoke ill of the former members of Jin’s community whom he said to suddenly disappeared, Jin told him some members of their community were spread into different communities. Furthermore, Jin knows someone from their community who is being used as a reward for Gift Games despite being a former demon lord. Izayoi promise Jin to save that friend of his if they are able to win the game with the Fores Garo. In the next day, the group finds Galdo's house involved in a strange forest by vampire and the rules of the challenge involve defeating Galdo only with a designated weapon. Jin, Asuka and Yô take the challenge and find him transformed in a huge tiger beast, beside a sword in the wall that they recognize as the weapon they need. Asuka orders Jin to escape, but he ends up doing so while carrying her with him against her will. After Asuka manages to stop Jin, Jin explains to Asuka that Galdo is originally just a tiger that learned to assume human form but becomes a monster because of the vampire demon lord’s power. Then, Yô appeared to them and is severely wounded by Galdo. Asuka takes the sword to fight him by herself. While approaching Galdo, Asuka remembered what Black Rabbit had said to her during their girls talk. Black Rabbit told Asuka that she hasn’t mastered her gift yet which she only uses to order people around and that her gift is stronger than she thinks it is because it can be used to order objects and other people’s gift to do her bidding. In the present while Asuka is facing Galdo, she first draws him away from the mansion by setting it into fire and uses her "authority" to control the trees to restrain him and draw power from the sword to defeat him. As Black Rabbit takes Yô to be treated, all of Galdo's slaves are freed with Galdo’s death and Jin renews before them his vow to take down the Demon Lords. Meanwhile, an unnamed man with a black and blond hair arrives at Shiroyasha's place.
04 "It Seems Some Pervert is After Black Rabbit?"
"Kuro Usagi ga Eroiyarashii Yatsu ni Nerawareta yō desu yo?" (黒ウサギがエロイヤらしい奴に狙われたようですよ?)
Fujima Takuya February 2, 2013
As Yô is still recovering from her fight with Galdo, Black Rabbit discuss with Izayoi about their next step: to rescue an important friend of hers called Leticia Draculair, a pure-blooded vampire who are known as “Knights of the Garden” and a former Demon Lord who was stripped of her title and turned into a slave. After Black Rabbit leaves, Izayoi is approached by the same vampire who assisted Galdo, who is revealed to be no other than Leticia herself. Leticia explained to everyone why she came. At first she told them that she wanted their No Name community to disband but after Black Rabbit summons the children, they learn from her that she has only helped Galdo to make sure if Izayoi, Asuka and Yō have what it takes to help the community rise again. However, she also reveals that her current master plans to sell her away, making them unable to retrieve her by challenging them on a Gift Game. Asuka told her that she should just hide in their place and not return. Leticia told her that it is impossible because her master keeps track on her movements and knows that she is here and that the Thousand Eyes will crush them if they do. Meanwhile, Shiroyasha learns the same info from her visitor, who happens to be Leticia's current owner, Luios Perseus, leader of the Perseus Community, a part of the Thousand Eyes community. Looking to help Izayoi and the others refine their skills. Leticia challenges Izayoi to a Gift Game, but as she is about to be defeated, Black Rabbit protects her, as she realizes that everything was taken from her including her strongest gift "Lord of Vampires”. Members of Perseus are sent to retrieve Leticia, who saves Asuka from being turned into stone by receiving the beam that was sent at her. In anger, Black Rabbit uses her “Spear of Indra” to attack them but was stop by Izayoi, telling her that they should meet with their leader instead. After Leticia is taken away, Izayoi, Asuka and Black Rabbit has a meeting with Luios at Shiroyasha's place to ask him for a duel. Luios refused them and explained why he decided to sell Leticia. He told them that she is hard to tame and doesn’t suit his taste. Luios takes an interest on Black Rabbit. He offers Leticia in exchange of Black Rabbit becoming his slave. It is further revealed that Leticia gave away her strongest gift, to a demon lord, to meet with Jin and his community. Back at the community, Black Rabbit considers accepting his proposal and argues with Asuka. Yô has recovered from her injury and brought them cookies made by the children to stop their argument. The two accepted the children’s feelings and apologize to each other, dissuading Black Rabbit from accepting the proposal and tries to find a way to have Leticia back without giving Black Rabbit. Izayoi appears with two rare items he obtained by himself. The two rare items are legendary gifts he won from Kraken and Graerae community which granted the holder rights to challenge any community to a Gift Game, which Black Rabbit uses to convince Luios to accept a Gift Game against the No Names and have Leticia as the prize.
05 "The Oath Seems to be Beyond the Stars?"
"Chikai wa Hoshi no Kanata ni da sō desu yo?" (誓いは星の彼方にだそうですよ?)
Thores Shibamoto February 9, 2013
The Gift Game against Perseus involves invading their fortress and only those who can reach Luios before being detected shall have the right to challenge him. With those rules in mind, Izayoi comes with a plan of having Asuka distract most of the guards using the water tree that they obtained while Yô gives way to Izayoi and Jin as they sneak past them. Before Izayoi and Jin confront Luios, they needed to have one of the replicas of the Hades Helm, a helmet used by the guards which turns the wearer invisible, to avoid detection. After obtaining one which Izayoi uses, the leader of the guards attacks them, wearing the real Hades Helm which gives Yô a hard time detecting the enemy through her normal means of detection. With the help of Yô’s echolocation ability, Izayoi defeated the enemy and obtained the real Hades Helm which he gave to Jin. As they continue to proceed with their plan, Izayoi and Jin found Luios in a colosseum, beside Leticia, who is turned into stone. Instead of confronting him, Luios unleashes his trump card, Algol the Gorgon, a former Demon Lord under his control. Algol turns all outside the colosseum including Asuka and Yô into stone and attacks Izayoi, who easily overpowered it with his strength and defeats it by destroying its gift with his Unknown ability. While acting as a judge, Black Rabbit can’t believe that someone has both the ability to destroy the world and the ability to destroy gifts which is impossible. Luios admits defeat and asked them to take Leticia, but Izayoi has given Luios a chance to fight back by challenging him to a fist fight, raising the stakes of the game where Perseus has to wager their banner when they lose, for Izayoi to ensure that the Perseus community is destroyed for good. In the end, Izayoi won against Luios. After they defeated Perseus, Izayoi and the others took Leticia back in their community as a maid which Leticia agreed as a gratitude for saving her. As the No Names celebrate their victory outdoors, Black Rabbit announce to them that Perseus is exiled from Thousand Eyes and is forced to take down their banner, the Perseus constellation, from the night sky. Everyone from the community made their wish as they watch the stars from the Perseus constellation falls. Izayoi gains another goal and that is to put their banner in the sky. While the No Names celebrate their victory, another letter from an unknown sender is seen on a table.
06 "Looks Like the Problem Children are Participating in a Festival?"
"Mondaijii-tachi ga Omatsurisawagi ni Sanka suru yō desu yo?" (問題児たちがお祭り騒ぎに参加するようですよ?)
Yukiwo February 16, 2013
Asuka had a dream of her days during her confinement at the boarding school in her world where no one can defy her. The members of No Name are invited to a festival called the Nativity of the Salamander to be held at Salamandra, which is located at the North-East district of the Northern region, to celebrate the coronation of their new leader, Sandra Dortlake, the youngest daughter of the royal family of Salamandra and a friend of Jin. Upon being warned by the others to not take part in the Festival due to the high travelling costs of using the Astral Gates, Izayoi, Asuka and Yô decide to go there against the others’ will and to tease Black Rabbit, leaving behind a letter of challenge to her claiming that they will leave the community should she not catch them in a day, angering her. Izayoi and the others sought Shiroyasha’s help in going to the festival. Shiroyasha heard the rumours that the No Name is accepting request of slaying demon lords so she asks them to fulfil her request in making the festival livelier and another one that hasn’t been explained in detail in exchange. But before that, she explained to them the task of Floor Masters which is to maintain order in the Garden and to support other communities. There is also the task of taking down demon lords which is currently the same with the No Name. After accepting Shiroyasha’s request, she took them to the Northern Region. The children are surprised to see the difference in culture from the East. The three are intercepted by a furious Black Rabbit who manages to catch Yô, putting her up in a long lecture. While reflecting on her actions, Yô is approached by Shiroyasha and ask her to join a Gift Game called the “Battle of the Creators” where people with an ability to create competes, knowing that Yô has a creation ability called “Genome Tree” that comes from her wooden pendant. After she heard that she can receive a rare Gift from winning the game, Yô agreed to participate in order to make up with Black Rabbit. Meanwhile, Izayoi and Asuka tour around Salamandra, to Asuka’s enjoyment. As the two had a conversation, Asuka talks about Halloween and looking for Jack-o'-lantern which she doesn’t have enough knowledge due to the after war condition of Japan in her time. It is then revealed that Asuka and Izayoi are from the same world but in a different time where Asuka is from the past while Izayoi is from modern day Japan. Izayoi promise Asuka to hold a Halloween Party in their community’s farmland upon winning more Gift Games and fixing the land. After which, Black Rabbit joined in their conversation and manages to catch Asuka. Being left with Leticia, Asuka continues her tour and got separated from Leticia as she ran after a little fairy. While being chased by Black Rabbit, Izayoi challenge her to a Gift Game where the winner is whoever manages to catch the other and will be granted to make a request to the loser. The challenge ends in a draw, with both being granted a wish from each other, but all the commotion they cause brings the attention of the military police of Salamandra led by Mandra, Sandra’s brother.

After Yô won the preliminaries of the Battle of the Creators, they are granted an audience with Sandra to talk about the damage caused by Izayoi and Black Rabbit. Since no one got hurt, Sandra decided to let Izayoi and Black Rabbit unpunished, to Mandra disappointment in his hatred for the No Names. After that, they proceed to talk about Shiroyasha’s another request for the No Names, to protect Sandra and slay the demon lord mentioned in the prophecy of the Laplace's demon. According to the prophecy, the demon lord will attack during the Nativity of the Salamander to prevent Sandra to rise in power as one of the Northern Floor Masters. Meanwhile, Asuka got in good terms with the little fairy from a community called "Rattenfänger" and they went to an art exhibit made by various communities. While being amazed by an armor made by Rattenfänger called “Deen”, Asuka got attacked by hundreds of rat. Asuka’s authority didn’t work on them and got saved by Leticia. After that, Asuka return to their inn owned by Thousand Eyes and took a bath in a hot spring to heal her wounds while she contemplates her authority which doesn’t work on the rats. Since her authority doesn’t work on someone stronger than her, Asuka figured out that someone is manipulating the rats and tries to think of a way to become stronger, being jealous of Izayoi and Yô's physical prowess. Black Rabbit is worried of Asuka and joins her in her bath, followed by Shiroyasha and the other girls. After that, they had a meeting, letting Black Rabbit judge the finals of the Battle of the Creators Gift Game the following day. Upon announcement of the remaining participants, Asuka is surprised to see Rattenfänger in the list beside No Name, Salamandra, and Will-o'-the-wisp. Rattenfänger got the attention of everyone. Shiroyasha explained that the Rattenfänger, the one who manipulates rats, is related to a community called the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" who once worked under a demon lord. The stated demon lord once summoned 200 demons and led a community called “Grimm Grimoire” which got disbanded after losing in a Gift Game. Jin further explained the relation of the Pied Piper to the Rattenfänger, detailing its history as being the same person since Rattenfänger is just a German word for Pied Piper. After figuring out its roots, everyone made a conclusion that with the assistance of Rattenfänger, the demon lord of Grimm Grimoire will attack at the Nativity of the Salamander. As they dismissed their meeting, Shiroyasha ask everyone to be on their guard for any spy from Rattenfänger and protect Sandra, making Asuka doubt the identity of the little fairy with her which could be the related to the person who attacked her in the art exhibit.

At the coliseum, the Battle of the Creators has started with Black Rabbit as the judge. Yô is pitted against Asha Ignis-Fatuus from the Will-o'-the-wisp community and their greatest Gift, Jack-o'-lantern, much to Asuka’s delight of seeing him for the first time. The rules of their match are for one of them to reach the exit of the Underworld Labyrinth or to destroy their opponent’s gift. With the knowledge she obtained about the legend behind Will-o'-the-wisp from Jin, Yô is able to take on the lead as she dashes towards the goal, using her keen sense of smell as she traces the scent of the wind coming from the exit, while evading the natural gas that Asha throws at her. Yô is relieved that Asha isn’t the leader of the Will-o'-the-wisp since she wouldn’t stand a chance against a demon born in limbo between life and death. But Jack’ o Lantern gets in her way and traps her in a circle of fire. Jack’ o Lantern told her that he is the demon born in limbo between life and death, an immortal demon and Will-o'-the-wisp is his flame. Furthermore he told her that the thing about the Will-o'-the-wisp being a natural gas combusting underground is just a scientific explanation that he made up for the people. To prove that validity of what Jack’ o Lantern said, Yô asked him about the natural gas that they used to attack. Jack’ o Lantern explained to her that it is from Asha, being an earthly spirit of natural gas. Without a chance of winning against an immortal, Yô surrendered, and lost to Asha, who is disappointed in their battle. Jack’ o Lantern approached Yô to ask her the reason for going alone in their battle when she can participate with another member from their community. After finding out the answer from Yô that she doesn’t want to involve anyone, Jack’ o Lantern told her that she should learn to rely on others especially during the times when she can’t handle something on her own. Suddenly, several black geass rolls fall from the sky, inviting everyone to join a game. Written on it is a saying “break the false lore and expose the true legend”. At the same time, a barrier has formed around Shiroyasha, unable her to join the game. Above the coliseum are members of the Pied Piper of Hamelin community. Izayoi rushes towards them, trying to find their leader. While doing so, he randomly picks an opponent from the Pied Piper of Hamelin, hoping that it's their leader. Izayoi ended fighting Weser, the embodiment of the Weser river from the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Leticia battled against Pest, a demon lord of the "The Black Plague" from the Pied Piper of Hamlin. When things are going bad for Leticia, Sandra saved her from Pest. Meanwhile, Asuka, Yô, and Jin are trying to figure out the cause of Shiroyasha’s inability to join the game. Ratten, the embodiment of the rats from the Pied Piper of Hamelin and the one who attacked Asuka in the art exhibit, gained control over the citizens of Salamandra using her flute and appeared to Asuka, Yô, and Jin. Asuka uses her authority on Jin and told him to run away with Yô. After beating Asuka, Ratten announced that the game is just getting started.

As chaos reigns over Salamandra, Black Rabbit uses her authority as Judge Master to put the game on hold and ask both parties to have a meeting. During the meeting, Black Rabbit and the No Names try to confirm the details of the game from Pest, the community leader of the Pied Piper of Hamelin and the game’s host, and whether the rules of the game are fair and are being followed due to the game’s lack of details and the reason Shiroyasha can’t participate in the game even if she wanted to join. Using Black Rabbit’s connection to the center of the Garden, they have confirmed that the game doesn’t violate any rules and it is fine as it is. While trying to find a schedule to resume the game, Pest reveals that she is spreading pathogens throughout the city to make people ill, threatening the No Names to join their community which is officially called Grim Grimoire of Hamelin if they wanted to live. Izayoi predicted that their enemy is a new community due to their desperation of wanting more manpower, and uses this as a chance to let Black Rabbit participate in the game as well, telling Pest that letting Black Rabbit join the game will give Grim Grimoire of Hamelin a chance to have Black Rabbit in their group if they win the game. Pest agreed to Izayoi’s suggestion and made changes in the game’s rule. As for resuming the game, they agree to hold it in a week since Izayoi and the others might be dead if they hold it longer than a week, rendering the Grim Grimoire of Hamelin’s objective to be in vain. Meanwhile, Asuka is in a dark cave along with the little fairy from Rattenfänger. When she regains consciousness, the lost souls of the 130 children that died in the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin appeared asking Asuka to help them end the false lore of the Rattenfänger and that they will be giving their gift, Deen to her if she is able to make it submit to her in a game. After 4 days, Yô and the citizens of Salamandra are feeling the symptoms of the black plague. Izayoi visited Yô in her room to help her alleviate her boredom. During their conversation, they tried to find out the truth behind the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Izayoi mentioned that in different timeline, lots of things happened in a different way and that there are some things that may stay the same at one point, relating it to the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Izayoi informs Yô that the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin that they are facing right now might not be the same Pied Piper of Hamelin that they know, focusing on the black plague being the anomaly in the story since it can’t kill the children in the story in a limited time which creates a contradiction. As Izayoi and Yô, continues to find out the origin of the black plague, Izayoi remembered that Jin said something about the black plague occurring in the 4th century after the “Little Ice Age” due to the weakening of the sun. With Izayoi knowing that Shiroyasha has control over the sun’s activity, he is able to find the reason why Shiroyasha can’t participate in the game. The reason is that the prerequisite for the game will not be met if Shiroyasha joins the game since the black plague which is a necessary part of the game will not be able to occur when the sun is active. With that cleared, Izayoi and Yô think of a way to solve the riddle of the game, “break the false lore and expose the true legend”. Solving it in a more concrete way, Izayoi remembered the stained glasses depicting the Pied Piper of Hamelin scattered across the town. Following the riddle, they should break all the stained glass except for the one that depicts the true legend behind the Pied Piper. At the day of the game, Izayoi and the others scattered around Salamandra, breaking stained glasses of the false lore. The Grim Grimoire of Hamelin noticed their actions and summoned the town of Hamelin, replacing the city of Salamandra. After the terra formation, the locations of the stained glasses have changed which prompts the No Names to search for churches in Hamelin, hoping to find stained glasses. With the town of Hamelin in place, the Grim Grimoire of Hamelin’s power has doubled. Weser, with his divinity activated, tries to take on Izayoi. Black Rabbit and Sandra fight hand in hand against Pest while Jin and the others are fighting against Ratten and the Stroms. As the Stroms tries to get their hands on Jin and the others, Asuka saves them with Deen in her command.

Izayoi continues to fight against Weser, the real Pied Piper of Hamelin. Izayoi reveals that the Pied Piper of Hamelin appeared during the time the black plague is getting weak and that the others "were added later, [and were] modeled after Black Plague." Weser invites Izayoi to the side of the Demon Lord, but Izayoi declines, causing Weser to attack again. Using Deen, the gift from Rattënfanger, Asuka battles against the enemy's Stroms and wins. Asuka then challenges Ratten to a gift game, to take control of Deen which was under Asuka's control with a single song. Ratten chooses to play the song of illusions, "The Pied Piper of Hamelin". Sandra and Black Rabbit fight against the demon lord, Pest. Black Rabbit revealed the true identity of Pest being the embodiment of eighty million evil spirits who died from the black plague that lingers during the events of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, wanted to have revenge on the sun. Izayoi prods Weser until he uses his ace in their battle. Ratten finishes her song, but it fails to control Deen. She reveals the last blow in their fight was nearly fatal to her and she dissolves into particles of light. Weser also dissolves into light when his article of summoning is broken by Izayoi. Pest senses Weser and Ratten's disappearance, and her patience snaps. She declares that she will take Shiroyasha and spreads a dark red wind that kills everyone it touches. A child falls when running away from the deadly wind, and Yô comes to bring her to safety, but is still injured and is temporarily immobilized. Asuka blocks the wind from reaching them with Deen to allow their escape. Black Rabbit transports the fighters to the Moon Palace, the Chandra Mahal, weakening the power of the black plague. Asuka, who has the ability to bring out the full potential in a gift, uses the Spear of Indra that Black Rabbit lend to her to defeat Pest. After the battle, Asuka meets with the members of Rattënfanger. The children told Asuka of another interpretation of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. In the story, the 130 children left their parents homes to follow the Pied Piper as they walk and sing beside the Weser river to a city where they would build their own community, the Rattënfanger. The children told Asuka that they will be returning to that time and left her in charge of Deen and their 131st member, the little fairy which Asuka later named Merun. In the Salamandra Palace, Izayoi confirms his claims to Mandra that Salamandra had invited the Demon Lord Pest to the festival, staging her defeat which can concrete Sandra's claim to her position as Salamandra spreads the news of their victory against the Demon Lord. Mandra has no excuse for Salamandra’s actions and told Izayoi that Sandra doesn’t know their plan, asking Izayoi to spare everyone’s life and take his instead. Izayoi told Mandra that he would rather want Salamandra to be the first to aid them in their time of need. At the No-Name community, Izayoi and the others attempt to re-fertilize their land. A letter floats down from the sky above Izayoi.
