The Profile of Mood States (POMS) is a psychological rating scale used to assess transient, distinct mood states.
Profile of Mood States - long form
The long form of the POMS consists of 65 adjectives that are rated by subjects on a 5-point scale. Six factors have been derived from this:
- POMS Standard
- tension-anxiety
- depression-dejection
- anger-hostility
- fatigue-inertia
- vigor-activity
- confusion-bewilderment
- POMS
- POMS or Profile of Mood States measures affective mood states and uses three tests to measure and identify them
