Raúl Martín Rodríguez (born 16 August 1979) is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.[1]

Career

Born in Seville, Andalusia, Martín began his career with Manchego CF in Segunda División B, making his debut on 30 August 1998 and scoring the opening goal of a 2–0 win over Sevilla Atlético, his only goal of 28 games that season. He then moved to Cádiz CF for two seasons and Motril CF for the next, all also in the third tier.

In 2002, Martín transferred to RCD Mallorca, spending most of the season with their reserves in Segunda B. He also made three substitute appearances in the Copa del Rey, which the Balearic team eventually won, and made his only La Liga appearance of the campaign on 5 January 2003, replacing Albert Riera for the final 25 minutes of a 1–0 loss at Sevilla FC. On 27 November, he started in a 1–1 home draw against FC Copenhagen in the season's UEFA Cup.

In January 2004, Martín was loaned to Segunda División team CD Tenerife. On 6 August, he signed a two-year deal with the option of a third.[2] He scored four goals in 53 games for the Canarians, including his first in a professional league on 22 February, the only one in a home win over Córdoba CF.

On 10 July 2005, after rescinding his Tenerife contract, Martín signed for fellow second tier team Elche CF.[3]

Martín went to another Segunda División team, Girona FC, on a two-year deal on 8 August 2008.[4] Later that year, he attested against Elche due to delayed payments.[5]

After one season (2 goals from 26 games), Martín moved on to AD Ceuta of Segunda B on 20 August 2009.[6]
