Raimkul Arzimamatovich Attakurov (Kyrgyz: Раимкул Арзимаматович Аттакуров, Russian: Раимкул Арзимаматович Аттакуров) is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation.[1]

Attakurov attended the Moscow Automobile and Road Highway Engineering Institute starting in 1979; after working in Moscow for 7 years, he went back for a graduate degree. In the 1990s he was the editor of the Kyrgyz Unity newspaper and helped found a non-profit organization called Kyrgyz Diaspora. From 2004-6 he attended the Russian Public Service Academy, majoring in economics. His diplomatic career starting in 2005, and in January 2008 he became the Kyrgyz ambassador to Russia.[2]
