Raina Ellison (née Hein) (born July 18, 1987) is an American fashion model. She is best known as the runner-up of the fourteenth cycle of America's Next Top Model.[6]

Early life

Hein grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Before her appearance on America's Next Top Model she was a volleyball player, and received a scholarship to college for volleyball. Hein was part of a two-time NCAA National Championship winning team. She attended Concordia University (Saint Paul, Minnesota) majoring in mass communications, she graduated in 2010.[7]

America's Next Top Model

Hein was chosen as one of the 13 girls to compete on cycle 14 of America's Next Top Model. She was compared to models Denise Richards and Brooke Shields in looks. She received one first call-out, two second call-outs, and three third call-outs. She was in the bottom two in the episode Hobbits vs. Models, but was saved over Jessica Serfaty. She was runner-up to Krista White.[citation needed][8]

Career

Hein has modeled for Jenny Carle Summer Collection, Cliche Boutique, Twin Cities Statement Magazine, the May 2010 edition of Seventeen Magazine, Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Harper's Bazaar UK and Hong Kong, Metro Magazine, Grazia Magazine, Shop NBC, Vanity Clothing, Ribnick Fur & Leather, Ellie Lavelle Spring 2011, Treats Magazine, Cosmopolitan Indonesia, Alpaca, Macy's, Target, Office Max, Mall of America, Jagress, Betsey Johnson, and Women's Health Magazine. She also appeared on a cover of Glamor Couture Magazine, and she is the face of Symphony Retailers in Dubai. In 2011, she received a contract to model in Hong Kong for three months.[9]

Hein has been featured in commercials for Anytime Fitness, McDonald's, and Domyos, a European fitness line.

Hein's runway credits include Rachel Roy, Anna Sui, Envisions, Vera Wang in Dubai Fashion Week, Macy's, and Bebe; in 2011, she had the last walk for Amato Haute Couture.[10]

In September 2011, Hein wrote in her blog that she signed up with Major Model management in Paris.

Hein also appeared in the music video for Bon Iver's "Calgary", and is scheduled to appear in the Daniel Cummings-directed short film Parallels. She also appeared in the music video for The 1975's "Girls" in 2013.

Hein plays the role of Catwoman for the Gotham Sirens and appeared in their Lady Gaga's parody video, "Bat Romance." Fellow ANTM contestant, Jessica Serfaty, appears alongside Hein in the video as the role of Poison Ivy (comics).[11]

Hein is one of the brides featured in Maroon 5's music video for their single "Sugar", off their 2014 album V.

Personal life

Hein is fluent in Spanish, enjoys dancing, and can handle and operate guns.[12] She says she is looking forward to acting and starring in a role opposite Christoph Waltz or Johnny Depp, and showing the world “what she's got”.[12]

She got married to football player Rhett Ellison on May 14, 2016.
