Christian Arroyo (born May 30, 1995) is an American professional baseball shortstop in the San Francisco Giants organization.

Arroyo played for the United States national baseball team at the 2013 18U Baseball World Cup, where he was the MVP of the tournament and helped the US win gold.[1] He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the first round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft out of Hernando High School in Brooksville, Florida.[2][3] The selection was considered a surprise by experts.[4] He made his professional debut with the Arizona League Giants, hitting .326/.388/.511 with two home runs and 39 runs batted in over 184 at-bats in 45 games. For his play he was named the Arizona League MVP.[5]

Ty Blach

Tyson Michael Blach (born October 20, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the San Francisco Giants organization.

Blach played college baseball at Creighton University.[6] He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the fifth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft.[7] He made his professional debut in 2013 for the San Jose Giants. In 22 games (20 starts), he went 12–4 with a 2.90 earned run average (ERA), 117 strikeouts and 18 base on balls in ​130 13 innings. He started the 2014 season with the Double-A Richmond Flying Squirrels.[8] The Giants added him to their 40-man roster after the 2015 season.[9]

Raymond Anthony Black (born June 26, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants.

Black had Tommy John surgery during his senior year in high school.[10][11] He recovered from the surgery and played college baseball at the University of Pittsburgh for the Panthers from 2009 to 2011. He appeared in 30 games with Pittsburgh, finishing with a 10.95 earned run average (ERA) with 41 strikeouts and 41 walks in 37 innings.

Despite his college numbers, Black was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the seventh round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft.[12] He signed with the Giants rather than return to Pittsburgh.[13] Before the 2012 season, Black suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder.[14] The injury would cause him to miss the next two seasons while he recovered.[15] Black finally made his professional debut in 2014 with the Augusta GreenJackets. In August he was promoted to the San Jose Giants.[16] He finished the year with a 3.57 ERA and 71 strikeouts in ​35 13 innings.

Daniel Carbonell

Daniel Carbonell Arredondo is a Cuban professional baseball outfielder in the San Francisco Giants organization.

Carbonell played for Camagüey in the Cuban National Series for four years.[17] In October 2013, Carbonell and Orlando Pérez defected from Cuba.[18]

Carbonell signed a four-year, $1.4 million major league contract with the San Francisco Giants on June 16, 2014.[19][20] He played in ten games for the Arizona Giants of the Rookie-level Arizona League, before receiving a promotion to the San Jose Giants of the Class A-Advanced California League.[21]

Samuel T. Coonrod (born September 22, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the San Francisco Giants organization.

Coonrod played college baseball at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.[22] He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the fifth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft.[23][24] He made his professional debut that year with the Arizona League Giants. Coonrod played for the Augusta GreenJackets in 2015.[25][26]

Lucius Kadeem Fox, Jr. (born July 2, 1997) is a Bahamian professional baseball shortstop in the San Francisco Giants' organization.

Fox is from Nassau, Bahamas. He lived in the United States for ​2 12 years,[27] during which time he attended American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida. He was declared an international free agent during the 2015 signing period.[28] Fox signed with the Giants, for a reported $6 million signing bonus.[29][30] He made his professional debut with the Augusta GreenJackets of the Class A South Atlantic League in 2016.[31]

Aramis Garcia

Aramis Michael Garcia (born January 12, 1993) is an American professional baseball catcher for the San Francisco Giants organization.

Garcia attended Pembroke Pines Charter High School in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the 20th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft, but he did not sign a contract with them.[32] He enrolled at Florida International University (FIU) to play college baseball for the FIU Panthers.[33] In 2014, Garcia was named the Conference USA Baseball Player of the Year[34] and a semifinalist for the Johnny Bench Award.[35]

The San Francisco Giants selected Garcia in the second round, with the 52nd overall selection, of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft. The Giants signed Garcia to a contract with a $1.1 million signing bonus.[32][36] He began the 2015 season with the Augusta GreenJackets of the Class A South Atlantic League, where he was named a midseason All-Star.[37][38] He received a midseason promotion to the San Jose Giants of the Class A-Advanced California League, and an invitation to spring training in 2016 as a non-roster player.[39][40]

Ian James Gardeck (born November 21, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants organization.

Gardeck graduated from Crystal Lake South High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois.[41] He began his college baseball career at the University of Dayton, before transferring to Angelina College for his sophomore year.[42] The Chicago White Sox selected Gardeck in the eighth round, with the 261st overall selection, of the 2011 MLB draft, but Gardeck instead transferred to the University of Alabama to continue his college career. The San Francisco Giants selected him in the 16th round of the 2012 MLB draft,[43] and he signed with the Giants.

After the 2015 season, the Giants added Gardeck to their 40-man roster.[9]

Joan Gregorio (born January 12, 1992) is a professional baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants.

The Giants added Gregorio to their 40-man roster on November 20, 2014.

Chase Lucas Johnson (born January 9, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the San Francisco Giants organization.

Johnson was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 26th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft out of Fallbrook Union High School in Fallbrook, California.[44] He did not sign with the Rangers and played college baseball at California Polytechnic State University. He was then drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the third round of the 2013 MLB draft.[45] He signed with the Giants and made his professional debut with the Arizona League Giants and later promoted to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. Johnson spent 2014 with the Augusta GreenJackets.[46] He started 2015 with the San Jose Giants and was promoted to the Richmond Flying Squirrels.[47]

Philip David McCormick (born September 7, 1988) is a professional baseball pitcher currently with the Richmond Flying Squirrels in the San Francisco Giants minor league system.

He was born in Wildwood, Missouri and attended Lafayette High School in Wildwood before going University of Missouri. He spent four seasons playing at Missouri, going 0-1 with a 8.10 ERA in four relief appearances his first season (2008), 1-1 with a 7.25 ERA in 30 games (two starts) his sophomore year, 6-1 with a 4.40 ERA in 36 relief appearances in 2010 (breaking the school record for appearances in a season)[48] and 1-1 with a 5.63 ERA in five games his last year. The Giants drafted him in the 31st round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft.[49]

In his first professional season, he went 1-1 with a 1.19 ERA in 23 games for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. He led all Northwest League pitchers with over 20 appearances in ERA and led the team in saves (6) and WHIP (min. 15 IP; 0.989). In 2012, he was 3-1 with a 3.48 mark in 61 games for the San Jose Giants, striking out 54 in 51 2/3 innings and leading the California League in games. In 2013, he was 4-5 with 3 saves and a 3.97 ERA in 58 games for the Richmond Flying Squirrels, again averaging more than a strikeout per innings. He was second in the Eastern League in appearances and first on the team. He led the league in holds. Entering 2014, he was listed among the Giants top prospects.[50][51] That year, he was 2-4 with a 3.74 ERA in 50 games for Richmond. He began 2015 back with Richmond.

Adalberto Mejía (born June 20, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants' organization.

Mejía pitched for the Augusta GreenJackets of the Class A South Atlantic League in 2012, and was named the league's Pitcher of the Week for June 18–24.[52] He pitched for the San Jose Giants of the Class A-Advanced California League in 2013,[53] where he had a 3.31 earned run average (ERA). The Giants assigned Mejía to the Richmond Flying Squirrels of the Class AA Eastern League in 2014,[54] and he had a 4.67 ERA. After the season, Minor League Baseball suspended Mejía for the first fifty games of the 2015 season for testing positive for sibutramine, a banned substance.[55] The Giants added him to their 40-man roster after the 2015 season.[9]

Chris Shaw is an American professional baseball first baseman. He played college baseball at Boston College.[56][57] He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the first round of the 2015 MLB draft.

Jacob Smith (born June 2, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants organization.

Smith attended North Augusta High School, Darton State College, and Campbell University.[58] The Giants selected him in the 48th round of the 2011 MLB draft. In 2015, while pitching for the San Jose Giants of the Class A-Advanced California League, Smith was named the Minor League Baseball Relief Pitcher of the Year.[59] The Giants added him to their 40-man roster after the 2015 season.[60]
