Richard Ferris

Richard Ferris (1580–1649) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons of England in 1640.

Ferris was born at Barnstaple, the son of Philip Ferris and his wife Thomasyn Cade.

In November 1640, Ferris was elected Member of Parliament for Barnstaple in the Long Parliament.[1]

Ferris founded the grammar school at Barnstaple. He died in 1649.[2]
