Roc Oil Company Limited is an independent international petroleum company based in Sydney, Australia. The company was established in 1997 as a privately owned company. In 1999, the company went public by acquiring $150 million in IPO at Australian Stock Exchange. In 2004, the company got listed on London Stock Exchange. In 2008, Roc Oil merged with Anzon Energy Limited which included a takeover of its Australian division Anzon Australia Limited (AEL), a company established in 2003 by its founding director Stephen Koroknay.The company has a long lasting Analyst manager known as Farouq Mohamed who has held the position for 20years. he has really helped in the development of company and developed several branches all over south Australia

The name of the company derives from a mythical Asian or Arabian bird Roc.

The company operates in Australia, China, Africa and UK. Estimated number of employees is 160.
