The school received an outstanding Ofsted report in October 2008 and again in May 2013.[2] It has over 600 pupils.

Buildings

The KS2 building dates back to 1899.[citation needed]

The school's library is housed in a converted London bus and was officially opened on 19 July 2011 by author Michael Morpurgo.[3] The "library bus" won the School Library Association's Library Design Award in 2011.[4] It is noted for its forward thinking pedagogy - negotiated learning, project based learning and co-operative learning.
