Ruoqiang Loulan Airport is a civil airport scheduled to be constructed to serve Ruoqiang County in Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwestern China. It received approval from the State Council of China and the Central Military Commission in March 2014. The airport will be located in Xitatirang Village (西塔提让村), west of the county seat Ruoqiang Town. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2014, with an estimated investment of 510 million yuan.[1][2]

Facilities

The airport will have a runway that is 2,800 meters long and 45 meters wide (class 4C), and a 3,000 square-meter terminal building. It is projected to handle 120,000 passengers and 480 tons of cargo annually by 2020.[1]
